On Saturday, October 13th, the Cure JM Foundation is taking the fight against Juvenile Myositis (JM) to the streets of Baltimore. Runners, Walkers and Volunteers representing the Cure JM Foundation will be participating in the Baltimore Running Festival to raise funds for research and raise awareness of the fight against JM.
JM is a painful and potentially deadly autoimmune disease that strikes children of all ages. The Cure JM Foundation - a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization - directly supports research targeted at finding a cure for this insidious disease. Learn more here: What is JM?
Prior to the Running Festival, the Cure JM Foundation will host an all-day educational conference for JM families on Friday, October 12th. This is an important annual event that provides families with the latest information and networking support that’s so critical when dealing with a disease like Juvenile Myositis.
For those of you who aren't familiar with Kevin of Always Home and Uncool, please take a moment to pop on over to his site. Kevin's daughter suffers from JM, and he is trying to get a team together to support this event. You can contact him via his website or find him on Twitter @homeanduncool.
